Thilo Hofmann awarded honorary member of German Water Chemistry Society


For his contributions to the German Water Chemistry Society, Thilo Hofmann has been appointed honorary life member. He has been a member of the society since 1999 and was its vice-chairman from 2013 to 2021. The expert association attributes the award to the many years of commitment of the environmental geoscientist and his contribution to the international integration of the society. According to the certificate of honour, Thilo Hofmann has made a significant contribution to promoting research in core scientific topics such as the behaviour of nanoparticles.

The Wasserchemische Gesellschaft (German Water Chemistry Society) is the specialist group  within the Society of German Chemists. The purpose of the society is to bring together chemists working in the field of water and experts in related disciplines for the purpose of promoting the field of knowledge. It aims, among other things, at promoting the effective protection, sensible use, appropriate treatment and purification as well as the proper investigation and assessment of water.
