Challenges in microbial ecology: Let's join forces between experimentalists and modellers!

ISME Journal recently published our paper on  'Challenges in microbial ecology: building predictive understanding of community function and dynamics' (Widder S et al. (March 2016)). The manuscript focuses the ideas of experimental and theoretical scientists engaged with microbial communties and presents future directions of joined research. The paper resulted from an accelerated, scientific exchange at the Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge, UK, and reflects the opinions of 53 researchers in the field.
